What would George Washington do if he were hacked?

Well my first response would be to go to humor on that one, but it probably wouldn’t be far off the mark in some respects. I would say he would sail across the Delaware and kick their keisters all the way up and down the Eastern Sea Board and back across the ocean that they came (not to imply that Hackers are only on the Eastern Coast, referring to state of the country’s territory of the time). But in truth that would be a complicated answer because we have become a complicated people and he was a Military man first, Public Servant second.

Washington was raised by a single mother with five children. Mary Washington lost her husband at 35, when our Future First President was only eleven years old. Her influence led to the man that would cross the Delaware, leading from the Front, instead of the rear with the gear. Though he was not a fan of the party system that has been corroded to stagnation today, he was a realist and saw the rise of the “party system” before the new car smell of the constitution was gone from the paper and realized that we need a strong central government to govern the virgin nation.

Washington was a military leader and he would find, terrorist attacks and hacking scandals as Treasonous Acts and his duty as the Commander and Chief of the United States of America would be to Defend his people, their Constitution, The PEOPLE’s Rights, Liberties and Lives. Let me just say that the master mind of 9/11 would not have lasted beyond the time it took to gather a line of sharp shooters for a firing squad because defending the rights of “foreign Enemies on American soil was NOT his DUTY! Choosing American lives and the safety of the US Borders and Her territories would have been at the forefront of every decision that  George Washington made and that would be evident in his actions.

Today we are so wrapped up in what is right and what is wrong, while looking through a world lense, that we have lost sight of the safety of America. When our country was founded on the principal of No Taxation Without Representation and we rebelled against an empire for that right. Each Man, Women and Child that fought for our country for that right knew what they were doing and did it for a new nation. The preamble to the Constitution begins with the words “We the People of the United States” and it is the strongest statement that would be uttered to begin one of the strongest documents in human history. The framers capitalized People, meaning that the People are larger than a sum of SINGLE numbers, they are the owner of this document and they do not stand as individuals, alone, they stand as one, a collective. These People, the collective, joined together in United States, territories that joined together to declare they were free and United in the principals that are spelled out in this document.

The Constitution was not written out as quickly as a Blog would be today. There was for thought of what was to come from our rebellion and the strife that would arise from that outcome. The Framers actually took the time to say that the it was the a government of the People, not a King that would rule this nation. One man was not greater than the voices of the many, the UNITED States. Our founding fathers knew what it was to have power rest in the hands of too few and ensured, through the Constitution that no ONE man, including the President could hold too much power. For example, the president has the authority to negotiate treaties with other nations, however will not go into effect until ratified by a two-thirds vote of the SENATE, once again giving the PEOPLE a voice, through their elected officials.

Like anything human, the Constitution has its flaws and as the first president, George Washington knew it. Fresh from a King’s rule, the Constitution focused on State’s Rule, Congress, and Senate powers, but not much was said of the President’s power in this new government. Washington was keenly aware of that fact and acted with measured caution and forethought of action he took in his new role as Commander and Chief of the Army/Navy and Militia, as well as the Leader of a New Nation. He knew that the a strong Central government was needed to keep this nation moving forward, but I doubt that he would recognize the one that has evolved from his first 8 years of struggle to define the powers of the Executive Branch.

Washington was not an isolationist, but he did struggle to keep the US’s noses out of things that were not in America’s best interests. Washington saw our country not as an Attack Dog of the United nations, as we have become, but as a fresh start for something new, to my mind as many thought of Rome in ancient times. Washington’s United States, was one of worry, that the states would act only on their State’s interests and not for the good of the Country as a UNITED effort and he told Benjamin Harrison in early 1784, that this could be the ruining factor.

As a leader, Washington walked softly and carried a very large stick, putting safety of America above all else. In 1794 when Pennsylvania was in open revolt against a Whiskey Tax, first domestic tax enacted to help reduce the national debt incurred by the Revolutionary War , President Washington road at the head of troops to demonstrate his determination to enforce the laws he was sworn to executed. While he was careful to exercise his duties as a Strong, fair leader, he was not afraid of setting positive and RIGHT presidency of his new office. This action quelled what appeared to be an armed insurrection and showed that the PEOPLE’s government could enforce its laws.

Force was not his go to act to squash the rebellion, he did use emissaries and back channels to try to settle this before an Militia Order was given.

The tax was not Washington’s legacy of this time, it had only served as a catalyst of the formation of political parties and raised more questions about the Constitution’s meaning about sovereignty, freedom of assembly and further hazy or silent areas of the Constitution, but instead Washington’s legacy was the defining of Executive Powers that given to the President of the US. Washington embodied the term “Public Servant”, as he was always mindful of his duty to the PEOPLE and his actions would be seen by his future citizens.

So you see, Washington would have started at the Delaware, with the hackers and seen those acts as Treason and a threat to the Security of America, his United States and continued across the country cleaning out his CABINET. George Washington was a very complicated man and this was a complicated answer that couldn’t be truly answered in only 1200 words. George Washington would be the first one to tell you that our Freedom was not and will never be FREE. The Blood of the Few for the Good of the Country.

The next question to be asked is are your thoughts being given to you by the Steering Media Machine, or do you have your own mind in these things?

You might wonder who THEY are, well I submit that WE are all THEY and when you read the following you will see why, you, me, your neighbor and the collective WE are slowly becoming the THEY in this statement. This Blog is named for a book by Milton Mayer, of the same Title THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE FREE‘.  of which shows the slow progression of Germany to the Nazi state that has faded into dark legend in today’s society. (I HAVE INCLUDED LINKS THAT REFLECT EDUCATION AND DO NOT CLAIM THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY SOURCE OF INFORMATION, FOR THAT YOU NEED TO EDUCATE YOURSELF TO FORM YOUR OWN OPINION. THESE ARE ONLY STARTER SITES THAT I GOOGLED AFTER I WROTE MY PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS.)

It began slowly, almost like you let someone take a dollar from you every day and then wake up at the end of the month and wonder where your money went. Missing a dollar in the day didn’t matter, but at the end of the month it had added up and you no longer could pay all your bills because of that missing money. That was how THEY’s freedom disappeared slowly. One by one, laws were enacted for the good of their country and then there were overt actions against religious groups and its members. First there were physical attacks and mass government propaganda, next came restrictions on businesses and finally came the intrusions into their personal lives. They were told who they could marry and in some cases they were told that their marriages weren’t legal and dissolved. Family were ripped apart and segregated due to blood lines. Children were taken from families and the infirmed were institutionalize and sterilized.

Whole families began to disappear in the night and property seized by the government. These trespasses became a way of life for the people and they became used to the brutality in their midst. People began to turn a blind eye to what was happening to their neighbors, secretly thanking that it was not them. They ignored the smells of death and government over reaching into their daily lives. Some claimed out of fear and some claimed patriotism, still others lamely claimed ignorance, as to why they didn’t interfere with their growing governments actions against its citizens.

The rest of the world ignored the pleas for help and the evidence of genocide coming out of the region in civil war/internal struggle. The world dismissed it as false rumors, none of our business and it referred to it as atrocity propaganda. We in the US were already war weary and wanted to get back to the business of rebuilding our own country. Some citizens went to other countries and volunteered for the fight, seeing what was coming at us.

We were soon drawn into that war, attacked on our home soil and that was “a day that will live in infamy”, but has faded from most minds (since we no longer lower our flags for that day). At the end of that bloody two front war, we did not abandon our footholds, but have held a stabilizing force of deterrence in those regions to this day. We forged strong bonds with other nations, forming alliances and uneasy peace from the actions of that war. We saw those bonds strengthened after 9/11 when a German Navy ship, passed an American ship, dipping the American colors in solidarity, a moving act that was not lost on any member of the US military.

As we swept East across Europe with our Allies and we cleared the last of the agressors out, we saw what our indecision and the blind eye of the average citizen cost. We found mass graves of millions, starving, displaced people by the millions, lost families and ravaged states. What I am talking about is WWII, a war that mobilized the country for one common goal, though at times not for the betterment for all its citizens. We imprisoned our own citizens out of fear and we saw the birth of the nuclear age.

The lessons of our past have not taught us enough, because now we are in favor of inclusion, rather than the protection of our people and our countries borders. We are now seeing a sweeping force gathering a foothold in the world, claiming it in the name of a people (many, who didn’t ask for it) and religion, at that the cost thousands of lives so far. It has the momentum that we saw beginning back in 1932 and we are met with same evidence as we were back then, so far with the same response of indifference. We have seen small unorganized attacks all over the world, the perpetrators claiming allegiance to a group that can only be called terrorists, but our own government is taking painstaking efforts not to put a name on what and who this group is. (I understand that politics is a slippery world game) We see thousands of people fleeing their home countries out of fear for their lives and still we speculate, rather than forming an organized union for action. We have allies speaking out, warning of future aggression and threats, but we sit back and say they gave no real options for an alternatives for our path.

It is not for other world leaders to offer the US alternatives for our forgein policies. It is for American to stand up and be counted for those on the side of the basic human RIGHT to LIFE and to live without fear of those that would end their lives because of the God that they choose to follow. We are now seeing another Genocide being carried out against Christian’s and Women (killed and being pressed into slavery) sweeping across Africa and Middle East. Our own citizens reaching out to these groups, due to some disfranchisement or other social slight and being used as blunt instruments of hate and yet we are still not securing our borders. We have one hand saying look at me over here, while the other hand is getting ready to slit our throats in our sleep and we are going to lay down and take it. What are we missing in our domestic spying on our citizens?

Will it take another massive attack on our soil to wake America up and realize that we are no longer free and that our Military can no longer take care of us because we have let it be sacrificed on the altar of immigration reform and government pork spending. Our Government is trying to  AX THE ONLY CLOSE AIR SUPPORT AIRCRAFT THAT KEEPS OUR TROOPS SAFE ON THE GROUND!  Taking resources, such as the A-10 away from our military will create more Gold Star families and embolden the enemy to attack us in our forward deployed bases. Deterrence has always been the best amour against attack and will save lives in the long run. Our military is the blanket of safety we sleep under at night and to leave them open, when there is way to protect them already in place is in excusable. How about not redecorating Commanding officers offices and new furniture for conference rooms that are rarely used, instead of forcing our troops to siphon gas from one aircraft for another, to the day’s flight schedule for the last day of the FISCAL year. (yes this happened to me personally)

We, as one person may be small when standing alone in our voting booth, our living rooms, our cars driving, listening to JAMES T HARRIS, but we are mighty together at the grass roots arena. We can start electing local representatives that share our concern over frivolous government spending, constitutional violations infringing on our state’s rights and our CONSTITUTION. We as American’s have been all separately been asleep at the wheel of our country and it is time to wake up and right this ships course TOGETHER. If we don’t fight to save our Military, our borders and infrastructure we will lose so much more than our face, which is already smeared with egg, on the foreign front. We will lose our fundamental freedoms that we take for granted every day.
